Radiant Heating Systems

Radiant heat (also called hot water or hydronic heat) provides a natural and comfortable heat for your home. As a bonus, radiant heat is the most efficient heating method, so you’re likely to save on heating costs!

Expert installation makes all the difference!

Whichever hydronic heating system you select, be assured that our trained mechanics will install it expertly and efficiently.

Various heat-delivery options are available, including radiant floor heating, baseboard heaters, and cast-iron radiators. Carlson Mechanical will work with you to select the best option for your home and lifestyle.

Since controls are an important part of any heating system, Carlson carefully designs them to enhance your comfort, keep your heating costs low, and ensure that your investment will operate trouble free.

How does radiant heating work?

We have several heat-delivery system options, allowing you to choose the right one for your home.

Radiant Floor Installation
Warm water circulates through the flexible tubing that can be installed underneath almost any type of flooring material—wood, tile, and even carpet.

Tubing and heat emission plates can also be attached to ceiling joists or sheetrock so that the ceiling radiates heat just like radiant floor heating.

Radiant ceiling heat is perfect for additions, upper floor heating, and remodeling projects.

Panel Radiators
Panel radiators combine visuals and science to deliver heat in a modern and attractive presentation with incredible comfort at a reasonable price.

As they do not blow air or stir up dust, panel radiators offer a clean solution and operate nearly silently.

Both Buderus and Runtal offer a variety of panel-style radiators for your home or business.

Baseboard Heaters
Baseboards provide space heating in both residential and commercial applications.

The baseboard is an inconspicuous and effective option that disperses heat both horizontally and vertically.

A baseboard panel does not blow air or stir up dust and its operation is virtually silent.

Heated Towel Bars
Make getting out of the shower more comfortable with attractive heated towel bars.

They keep your bathroom dry and free of mildew, germs, and mustiness. Each towel rack acts as a radiator and is an adjustable source of heat for the room.

Their low profile fits minimal space requirements (a depth of 4”) and they coordinate easily with any bathroom décor.

Cast Iron Radiators
Cast-iron radiators supply a continuous flow of heat and are suitable for both residential and commercial use.

Radiant heat combined with convected heat creates a warm, comfortable environment. It shields outside walls and windows to stop cold air at the source.

After the boiler has run its full cycle, the radiators continue to emit gentle heat. The end result is a cozy room with less than a two-degree temperature variance from floor to ceiling.
